I have a windows 2003 server, which i have loaded a 3rd party TSP on
(samsung OpenTSP)
Now on windows 2000 servers i can assign users to the various lines with no
problem.
But this option is always greyed out on my 2003 server.
I have enabled tapi and rebooted, but still can't assign, have tried
connecting with a win2000 tapi management but it won't connect to the 2003
server.

Cheers
Steven

Steven,
on W2k3 you need an ActiveDirectory for a Telephony Server to work:

Hi Andreas,

Thanks for the reply,
I should have mentioned that this machine is connected to a windows 2000
domain, and is running sp1.
I can and have enabled the tapi server, but i just can't assign the tapi
lines, and there is nothing in the event logs either.

Any more suggestions?

Cheers
Steven

Steven, you are welcome.
Thanks for the clarification.

Hi, i had the same problem.

The solution that works for me was:
Add the domain admin to the local admin group of your OfficeServ server.

The next problems you will run into:

* by disconnection of the OfficeServ Link, all added users are gone.
* same by log off
* same by server restart
* windows 2000 clients, have to run again tcmsetup /c servername
* windows XP clients, have to select the right line again

Haven't found a solution for that, if someone has, please feel free you write me an email.

Regards,
Robert
