We are using the waveOut API to play audio in our application and are getting an error from waveOutOpen. We are cooperating with another application which also plays Audio and it should have released the audio channel by the time we try to open it. As a result, this error occurs intermittently. I'm using sample grabber filter to grab wave data of movie file. The grabber does not receive any data after seek movie. Here is sniff code. Window vista - sample grabber problem with long duration files

Hello, I'm using SampleGrabber to grab waveform of movie. The code run correctly on window XP. However, on window vista, with long duration movie files it only grab a part of movie. Is there any limitation of SampleGrabber on window vista? Is there any other way to get waveform of movie? My file duration about 720mins, on vista it grab only 15mins.... more »
