From where? Generally, these objects are only available to the MAPI
providers, not to any client code. What are you trying to do?

I sort of thought you could use a support object to open entries
independently of an active session. yes? no? besides that it might be nice
just to know how to do it or where they fit into the hierarchy.

No, entry ids only make sense in a context of a particular MAPI session.

so I guess that means the whole idea of creating an entrylist in one
session, then logging on to another session and doing CopyEntries with that
entrylist is sort of a bad idea.

so I'm still trying to figure out how to copy addressbook entries found in
one profile into the addressbook of another profile. basically that's my
main problem. I think it's just a conceptual issue, how does it get done.
