Apparently for 2003, this SetProcessDEPPolicy() is not available in
kernel32.dll.
Oh well, has to be a manual instruction for customers having this issue.

The objection I have that any evaluation should not be done
in SYNCHRONOUS manner. Because the task swith may drastically
affect what user experiences. Once you click on something,

I think Hector later on explained that the code below might be
a JIT-ed piece of code, a-la `ATL-WndProc-Thunk`s, but created by the OWL
framework.
I think he might want to loon into SetProcessDEPPolicy.

First of all, have you considered Data-Execution-Protection / NX issues ?
NX is disabled in all but trusted system processes on WinXp, while it is
enabled on all but explicitly disabled applications on Server SKUs.
There is a long list of DLLs, more or less known to the system and complete

where DEP is disabled for a process that fails to set the execution bit

Can we confuse him with some irreverent details? For instance when a key is
struck or a mouse event occurs, whatever thread is currently running from
which ever process owns that thread will be 'tasked' to handle the
interrupt. The 'event' will then be sent to usually the Win32 subsystem for
eventual delivery to the thread & process that owns the input focus. Since

Remember that user interfaces are interminably slow compared to the
processor. Even for a lightning fast typist, there will be 3 to 5 task
