Hi there,

How to create a restorable image of the full system (OS and data)? I have
seen some commercial products that do this (like Acronis, Paragon, Farstone,
and so on) and I need to do it too.
I found and API named Image Mastering API to stage and burn images but
nothing to let you copy the FULL system.

Thanks,

You should start at "Volume Shadow Copy Service"... but this is only tha
"start" ;)

This API has nothing to do with a copy of the (running) OS.

Hi Jochen,

I studied that service and it looks fine.
Why do you say it's for starting? - I mean, what problems do you see in
using it? or, what is a better approach?

Thanks,
