Hauppauge TV tuner and no video. Anyone?

I haven't gotten any response to my previous post so I'm reposting it with some more info and hope that someone will have some ideas. I can't make Hauppauge HVR-1270 tuner to work reliably on XP. Quite often I get only audio and no video. I'm using VMR7 in windowless mode for rendering. I also tried old VR with same results.... more »

I build a DirectShow (Windows SDK 6.1) + WMF11 encoder graph, and create a WMAsfWriter filter for creating ASF files. Is it okay to create a few IWMIndexer instances and do the indexing at the same time? Or should I create just 1 IWMIndexer and queue the video files doing them one by one? The reason is that I'm a bit concerned about IWMIndexer seeting some "global identifiers" i.e. g_ws***, making me feel that if running multiple IWMIndexer... more »

can you change the filter state from inside streaming thread?

I've got a renderer filter which saves information to disk. I'm getting a deadlock between CMyFilter::Stop and CMyPin::Receive. Is it alright to change the filter state from inside Receive? Hi, I have constructed a Graph as below in Graph edit Src Filter(Input.3gp)-> Video Decoder--> Video Encoder --> MUX filter After all the sample encoded and written to the file, I still left with some samples (2 or 3) which needs to be encoded and written to file at the end. I am demultiplexing a live ATSC transport stream with the MPEG-2 demultiplexer. Looking at timestamps on the IMediaSamples coming from the video out pin, they are out of order. What's up with that? I don't think the MPEG-2 decoders use these timestamps, but I am trying to write these samples to an ASF file and am wondering if I need to... more »
