Error Performing Inpage operation

At a loss of what to do....

I just recently ran into this problem when copying files to my hard drive
accross a network. After a long pause, W2K will give me an error.... "Error
performing inpage operation". I've checked a number of things.... drive
status, network status... but cannot find any obvious cause.

Another queer odity from this scenario. If I initiate the copy from another
computer... That computer will get an error....
"The path is too deep". What is wrong... Please help....

If you copy the files from diskette the media may be
defected. You also can look for other possibility by
viewing the common cause for the "Error performing inpage
operation" by reviewing the article Q141117.
