I'm trying to follow the instructions in an MSDN Tutorial. But about mid-way
through the exercise, I noticed the scary Warning at the bottom of the
screen: "Warning This project references the primary interop assembly for
Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, but this primary interop assembly is not
installed."

Contrary to what Visual Studio says, Add or Remove programs (in Control
Panel) reports that "Microsoft Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies" IS
installed.

(The tutorial is named: "Create an Application-Level Add-In to Automate
Common Office Tasks" which is located at:

I am running Visual Studio 2008 Profl under WinXp, and both are completely
updated. The .Net framework 3.5 (including sp1) is installed too.

I reinstalled the Interop Assemblies (o2007pia.msi) a few times, and then
went to Add or Remove Programs, and did a repair.
Then, I did a repair to Visual Studio (in Add or Remove Programs)
Then, I did a repair to the Primary Interop Assemblies (in Add or Remove
Programs).

I'm still getting the error message in Visual Studio.

Does anyone have any suggestions about what to do?

Thanks,

Marc (MarceepooNu)
