How to deploy a Excel 2003 Workbook Project?

Hi All,

I have an InstallShield project with about 12 projects deploying files
to a common application directory.
I wish to add one more project to this of type Excel 2003 Workbook.

Is there a way to Deploy this project without:

1) using the publish route?
2) putting the corresponding DLL into GAC

Currently the Excel 2003 Workbook works fine in the common application
directory. But if the user decides to place the Excel 2003 Worksheet on
say the desktop it fails to map to the corresponding DLL left behind in
the common application directory!

Put in other words, is there a way to modify the embedded manifest in
the Excel 2003 Workbook to map to its DLL (irrespective of where its
placed) without user intervention through e.g. InstallShield / the
Microsoft Setup and Deployment project.
