Reporting of EXE version for Sarbaines-Oxley compliance

I need to be able to generate a report that will compare the EXE dates of
applications in a folder on VSS to the EXE dates for the same applications
that reside on an applications server. I know that VSS encrypts this
information, does anyone know of a way to read the data from VSS?
