Fax server in VM guest?

If I'm running Server 2003 as a guest under Virtual Server 2005, is it
possible for the guest to see a fax modem installed on the host? I think
the answer is no, but I'd like to be proved wrong. :)

No. But there are third party IP to Modem and IP to COM Port solutions that
should work. I've used FabulaTech's USB to Network solution to solve USB
backup issues, with good success, but haven't used their COM/Modem
solutions.
