Hi,

At the end of last year, there was talk amongst the great and the good that
Additions for Linux were "a few months off"...
http://www.mcse.ms/archive235-2005-12-2032754.html

As we're now nearly in April, does anyone know how much longer they will
be...?

Thanks,

Mark

IIRC, the development of the Additions was tasked to makers of each Linux
distro, I don't think MS is actually developing Linux Additions.

I don't much care who makes 'em... I'd just like 'em... :-)

Which means no one here can talk about it.

Can you talk about it now...?
http://blogs.msdn.com/virtual_pc_guy/archive/2006/04/03/566273.aspx

The blog mentions that it's possible to install these additions under
Virtual PC - has anyone tried, either officially or unofficially...? ;-)

I have tried - and it seems to work - however it is not supported.

Fab! Presumably, there is only one set of Additions for both Virtual PC and
Virtual Server? I.e. if I download this new release, will it be used by any
virtual machine I subsequently build in either product...?

>however it is not supported.

Don't worry - I won't sue if it doesn't work... ;-)

Will the Linus additions work on the virtual 2004 pc's I already have
running? Or do I have to re-install everything?

Should do - but this is all unsupported.
