Subject: Installing Dos 6.22 on an NTFS hard drive
I am trying to install Dos6.22 onto a VPC running under XP SP3 with an NTFS
formatted hard drive. Dos 6.22 wants to reformat the drive to a FAT32. How
will this affect my XP?
What will happen to the reformated section of the hard drive when the VPC is
removed?

You're not reformatting the physical drive, you're formatting the
Virtual Hard Drive, the .VHD file.
This only affects XP in that this file takes up hard drive space, like
a Word document or picture files.
When you delete the .vhd file, the space used by it on your hard drive
is recovered, just as when you delete any file.

It won't affect it at all, other than to take up some disk space, just like
any other file would...

Nothing, other than the space previously occupied by the virtual hard disk
will be flagged as available, just as happens deleting any other file...

Uhhh, Dos 6.22 does not support FAT32, FAT16 only, max partition size of
2GB.
