I have created a very very simple clock ActiveX control (ocx)
anyway I put
it on a web page to test it.
I used Microsofts ActiveX control pad to
generate the HTML
anyway that works fine and the Control gets downloaded
when you hit my page.
but they the security stuff happens..it says
somehting like You can't install this...and the only way I can make it
install is if I set my IE4.0 broser to the lowest possible Security..(which
sucks!)
This clock does NOTHING but display the time and beep if you click
on it...so how in the world to I make it so IE 4.0 doesnt have a fit about
it?
I have been reading 3 books, read the online help for about 1 hour. I
even have a dedicated Active X Book on CD and it was no help at all.
I
finally found sample code on a CD I have..that came with a book but um...IT
WOULD NOT EVEN Compile...The book didn't explain anything anyways.
Ah...I
have been messing with this for 3 hours...what do I do? Please help.
Thanks
Jack
