I need to write some backup data to a file on floppy, from a Win95
application,
and know immediately if it is corrupt.

Does anyone know if there is an API to turn on "verify on write" behaviour?
I see that you can still type "verify on" at the command prompt,
but don't know if it still does anything.

If the only way to check files is to read them back, how could I make sure
that the system really accessed the floppy, rather than just return data
it had buffered in memory?

Thanks.
