I've been using Microsoft Visual C++ for sometime. Starting recently I have
not been able to attach to processes. I get pop-up "Unable to attach to
process. Access denied". BTW, I am using "Microsoft Visual C++ .NET
69461-335-0000007-18801"

I can't see that I have done anything to change my environment or that the
processes are changed in any way. E.g., I start both the process and Visual
C++ from the command line with my own userid and I do have admin privileges.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me to troubleshoot this.

Thanks, Howard

Howard,

Make sure you have the latest service packs installed. This issue
rings a bell with some version of VS and I'm sure it was fixed by a
service pack.

David,

Thanks for this information. I didn't exactly check this out. But I did
upgrade to VC 2008 and don't see the problem anymore.
