Hi, I'm a happy Money user for many years, now running the latest UK version
of FS (V14). I have recently purchased a new Vista based machine but cannot
find my "Money DVD" to reinstall the programme on my new machine!!

I have my licence key and a working installation on my Laptop. Are there
any easy workarounds to get Money working on my New machine? Vista's Easy
Transfer wizard does not include the MS-Money app.

Presumably if I just copy the Money directory from Program Files this won't
work and I'd need to somehow Edit the Registry entries manually - not keen on
this option, so if anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful. Thanks

All I can suggest is to try eBay. There are several copies at the moment
around the £20 mark.

Thank you for the suggestion. I run the FS version, so would my data file
work with the standard Money version?

Also, I have a full Disk image and multiple backups, so could restore the
\program files\ms money directory easily. I've then considered outputting
the registry as a text file; extracting the Money specific entries and
editing these into my new Registry (backing up first of course).... I'd value
any opinion you have as to whether this might work?

As I recall, the only difference between the standard version and FS is that
you get a Tax CD?

Thanks for your help guys... If you think of any other way of
recovering/installing to a different machine I'd be grateful. Otherwise if
another search of the house fails, it looks like I'll have to take the pain
of spending more money on a product that is End of Line - ouch!
