Dear All,

I want to set up MS MPIO with Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition SP2. The
hardware environment IBM Blade HS21 with Qlogic FC HBA adapter (not iSCSI)
and EMC CX300 SAN. The connection between the blade and SAN is ok. There are
two physical path (incl. cabling and swicth). The system is working well
without MPIO. Now I try to set up MS MPIO. I know the recommended soultion
based on EMC PowerPath sw but I must use another soultion (MS MPIO). Reading
related articels I saw many soultions with iSCSI for similar problem. I
conclude that it would feasible with FC HBA. As I know it is feasible in
Windows 2008. (In that case I sould use EMC FLARE code 28.)

My question: No. 1: Can I do that or not? If not, why?
If it is possible: No. 2: How can I do that?

Any help appreciated.
Regards,
OPer

Microsoft does not have a DSM (Device Specific Module) that supports FCP
in 2003. The MSDSM in 2008 does support both iSCSI and FCP.

You need to use the PowerPath DSM or Veritas DSM, or some other DSM, but
you can't use Microsofts cause they don't have one.
