System: Win 7 Ultimate
SQL 2000, SQL 2005 and VS 2008

The install goes on fine till the System Configuration Check and it tells me
that my Visual Studio has to be at SP1. When I checked my Visual Studio is
Version 3.5 SP1.

I was prompted to try using an slipstream install with SQL2008 SP1, :

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/petersad/archive/2009/02/25/sql-server-2008-creating-a-merged-slisptream-drop.aspx

Still does not work.

Can someone help on out on this quick please. My webhosting company
migrated the wrong code and wrong database to 2008 and did not inform me now
it is down and I need to get my development platform up so that I can
reconsile the data in both the databases.

I would reapply VS 2008 SP1. Maybe you have added components to
your VS installation after you first installed SP1.

You can access SQL 2008 from SSMS 2005 SP3, but obviously there is
not support for all features.
