SQL Server 2008 installation failure (Error 0x84b10001)

Hi!

I got an error during installation of SQL Server 2008 n a Windows XP
pro SP3..

This is the error:
SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error: There was an
error generating the XML document.
Error code 0x84B10001.

What is the problem with this? What should I do to resolve this
error?

u need to repair .net 3.5 sp1 and .net 4.0.
after doing this u have to register your .net service also
hopefully yr problem will be solve
