I then downloaded the Standard eddition and get the same error.
I currently have SQL 2005 installed. I have tried the Upgrade option and
get the same error.
I have tried to install on a different server and same error.
Any idea?

Andre
Thus, I would try to use a different download path, that is download
to some other machine. Or use a different method to access the ISO file.

I have tried the ISO images at home and all is working.
It seems to be something wrong with all the PC's at my office. Could be
that something was installed via a Group Policy (maybe the DotNet Framework)
that has a corrupt file.
I wish there was a log file of some sort with the problem file details.
There is, you find the setup logs under
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log
And there is certainly no lack of details - they are very verbose.
