Is it possible to create a SqlServer database at a network drive?

Yes, you need to turn on trace flag 1807. But there are requirements that
you MUST meet or 1) Microsoft won't support it and 2) you may end up with a
corrupted database. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304261.
