Cannot Remove Server from Scale Out List

Hello,
We are moving out servers to another data center and setting up SSRS. We
have copied and restored the ReportServer Dbs to the new SQL Server box and
installed SSRS components.

When we go through the RS Config tool and point the RS service to the newly
restored ReportServer Db (running on the same machine) it automatically sets
up a "Scale-Out" deployement with two entries: The current Server\Instance,
and the original server. Status of both servers is "Joined" When we try to
remove the original server from the Scale-Out, we get an error referencing
the WMI provider.

Here's the thing, old and new servers are SQL Standard, which does NOT allow
Scale-Out deployment of RS. So how did we get two entries for Scale-Out in
the RS Config tool, and how do we remove the original one?
