We have been doing some more investigation.
It seems to be a problem with IIS, but don't know exactly what is going wrong. Windows 2008 (64 bits) Dutch version in installed at the server. When setting up a replication to a SQL Server database that doesn't use IIS, we can use the conflict resolvers without any problem.

Thanks for your help. I, also, need to perform alter database setting. This
needs to be done in single user mode. Will disabling distribution agent
sever all sessions related to replications?
BTW... Wouldn't disable publishing and distribution wipe out the
configuration?

Yes :). No need to stop the agent though - you can stop the distribution
agent job and disable.

I would like to stop sqlagent on the publishing server to halt replication.
Then run couple of dml updates. Then startup sqlagent. Will the changes
made while sqlagent was down be replicated to the other server?

After testing, the replication works fine with Oracle9i with table over 160k
records while the performance is really poor in Oracle10G.
Does SQL2005 oracle replication function support Oracle10G? Seems the
replication PROCEDURE PollEnd doesn't work well in Oracle10G and made the
perofrmance degrading.

The filter was using a table that was not in the publisher database. When I
moved the table to the publisher database, the log reader picked the update
transactions!

I got it to work when I fixed the filter. The filter can not use objects
outside the publishter database! Do you know if this is documented anywhere?

system tables

Hi,
I experienced a merge replication on my Db (on sql server 2000). I have
delete the replication and the pubblication from Db but there are any system
tables that not aren't deleted. it regards the "Replication_error" ecc...
How can I delete them

This status message merely means that the agent is working (or hung) and has
not communicated with the replication subsystem yet.
You will need to set your hearbeat_interval to something larger. To this
issue the following command:
USE master
exec sp_changedistributor_property @property = N'heartbeat_interval', @value

Your problem is likely that the view is evaluated on the subscriber and at
evaluation time the row evaluates as false in the delete statement and as a
conequence is not deleted.
You will need to ensure that the data in the view will be correct at
evaluation time. This might mean putting it's base tables in a different

I have setup a snapshot replication with "Delete data. If article has a row
filter, delete only data that matches the filter." article option. The filter
that I used is a view with joins. When I reinitialze without deleting the
rows in the subscriber database I get this error:
