Hello,

I have created a merge pull replication from SQL Server 2005 to Windows
clients running SQL Express 2005. The clients should be able to work offline
with the replicated database and synchronize when on-line. In Windows XP this
is no problem: the Synchronize tab in the Tools menu of Explorer shows the
replicated database and you can change the synchronization setup and start
synchronizing.

In Vista there is this new Synch Center which shows the replicated database,
but it does not seem to know what to do with it; you cannot synchronize or do
anything there, except synchronizing offline files and folders. This is too
bad; does anybody knows any solution for this? Is it possible that the new OS
cannot even do what the older could?

Thank you

Publications which are enabled for sync manager and subscirptions which are
created as on demand will show up in sync manager in Vista, at least they do
in mine:)

I wrote that the publication was there but nothing could be done with it. In
any case I came next day and suddenly the option to synchronize the
replicated database was there for the first time; by clicking on "MS SQL
Server 2005" in Synch Center I get the details of the publication and I can
set up a schedule - maybe it needed a reboot or a restart of the service.

Thank you
Daniel
