Hello,

I have installed SQL Server Analysis server (SP3) on a machine (BoxA)
running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition SP1. I have also
installed Analysis manager on my computer running Windows XP Pro SP2.
However, when I try to register BoxA from my computer on Analysis
manager, I get an error message saying -

"Cannot open connection to the Analysis server 'BoxA'. Cannot connect
to the server 'BoxA'. The server is either not started or too busy".

However, the server has been started and I can connect to it from the
instance of MDX Sample Application installed on it. But not from the
one on mine. I have stopped and restarted the services, but in vain.
Also uninstalled and reinstalled Analysis server on it, still does not
work. Both machines are on the same domain and I can connect to the
server using Query Analyzer from my machine. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello - This has been resolved by disabling the Windows firewall on
Port # 2725. Thanks.
