We tried this by "select top 0 * from Table" with ADO recordset and found that many types can be identified by reading Fields[].Type value. odbc will not connect while Server Management Studio will

SQLServer 2008 is running on a SBS Server on local network. From this Vista 64 wkstn Management Studio will connnect to the server and view databases. ODBC will not (error below) and apps will not. Unable to see non-default db in system dsn

I am trying to set up a system dsn to a SQL Server 2005 db and when I check the box to select a non-default database, I am unable to see other (non-default) databases that I do in fact have access to. I am using Windows auth. Sql Server driver version 2000.85.1117.00. Thanks! -Todd

Hello, I think I am running into the known bug [link] trying to update multiple nvarchar values (SQL_C_WCHAR) via ODBC. After SQLBindParameter() and SQLExecute() and SQLParamData() and SQLPutData() on the first value, SQLParamData() fails on the second value with state 22026 and message (in German)... more »

i have an Ms-access front end with sql back end, all works fine with sql-2000, but when i have updated sql to sql-2008 express that started the problems, after about one hour i loss the connection with sql. i have sql connects via odbc.
