Hi, all gurus,

I installed the SQL Server 2008 on Win2008, on the server side, I could
access the database, but with the management studio, I could not find
any instances, and I could not access the database on the client side
within the same LAN. The client PC runs on Win7.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

BR,

Jack

Have you installed SQLExpress edition if yes then in SQLexpress only local
connection are allowed by default but you can change that.
