You first have to replace the cluster node.

Then you may need to update SQL and remove the settings for the old node.
If you reused the node name, SQL cna get very confused.

Run the installer and gte into the Maintaining a Failover Cluster section.
Remove the failed node fom the SQL installation. This may generate some
failure messages but that is OK.

Once setup shows that SQL is only installed on the original working node,
then you can begin to install it to the replacement node.
