Getting events when speaking to audio device but not when speaking to file...

Anyone had issues with getting TTS events when binding the output stream to
a file instead of using the default audio output?

If I use regular audio, my callback function gets called just fine, but if I
bind the output to a file stream, I get no calls into my callback. I have
tried both SPF_ASYNC and SPF_DEFAULT to no avail (I originally thought not
running ASYNC was preventing events but nope, that's not it.)

Anyone gotten TTS events when rendering TTS to a file?
