I have recently installed SMS Admin console (SP3) and then installed the
toolkit2. Both claim to have installed successfully and it appears all the
tools are available for use from the start menu; however, when I right click
on an SMS component (i.e. collections) or resource (i.e. computer name), I do
not get the usual "SMS Tools" menu.

Can somebody please let me know how to integrate the Toolkit into the
console so I have the right click menu?

Sorry for the noob question and thanks in advance!

I think you're looking for the Right-click Tools, also known as SMS Console
Extensions; which isn't the same thing as SMS Toolkit 2. The right-click
tools aren't an official Microsoft offering, but are scripts, etc., put
together by fellow SMS Admins like yourself just trying to make everyone's
work day a bit easier.

Here's a listing of the (known) right-click tools available-->

I would guess that you're used to Cory Becht's tools, the original set of
right-click tools, so those might be the ones you'll want to install. I like
the right-click tools from offshore-it.co.uk (Stuart Watret) for completely
selfish reasons; Stuart used one of my scripts in his tool set. Stuart's
tools does have all the things from Cory Becht's right-click tools.
