Someone just edited site URL instead of top link URL now can't access site 
  Hi An admin just tried to change a top link URL on our main WSS3.0 site to point to a different sub site page, but edited the site url and not the top link. Now the original site gives a 500 error. How can I edit the site to have the correct URL again? It shows as a web site in "view all site content"... more »

administrator login after installing KB974455 
  Hello Experts, I am running Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 on Windows XP Professional. After installing Internet Explorer Security Update KB974455, users get logged on to the SharePoint site as [Domain] \administrator. WSS3 Permissions: Deny create new rows but allow edit. 
  Hi.. Is it possible in WSS3 to allow some users to modify a list but deny them the privilege of creating new items? I would like to do it with the default functionality, but is this is not possible, I would't mind taking a development approach.. Thanks..
