Dear support,
we are experiencing performance problems on our SharePoint 2007 web servers.
Our farm is made by 5 servers:
- 2 SQL in cluster
- 1 Appl. server
- 2 Web servers, virtual machine with 2 CPU and 4 Giga RAM

On each web server the same 40 sites are running, some of them are related
to Shared Service provider, with 30 web applications. One application pool is
defined for each web application.

On the same server two Anti Virus are running Forefront and Symantec.

The problem is related to Memory consumption each server use all available
memory and often site are slow.

Do you have any architectural suggestion to improve the performance?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried allocating more vram, or adding another vcpu to each WFE VM.
Also, are they 64 bit vm's - they should be! You don't say how much ram or
what CPU your SQL servers are, and thats a fairly critical component and you
have not suggested that you sized the farm based on usage scenario and
expected throughput, so if thats not corerct your farm could well run
slowly.
