Getting duplicate entries when importing calendar from sharepoint to outlook

Duplicity occurs on two consecutive dates for two associates in
Outlook even though I only set up one day for both associates in
Sharepoint. On Sharepoint, this duplicity does not exist (as it
shouldn't) but when I imported it into Outlook both December 23 and
December 24 are populated. We are using SharePoint 2007 and MS
Outlook 2003. Please advise.
