Hello,

I've created a new Content Type and uploaded a Visio document to SharePoint
2007.
When I try to create a new Visio document I'm getting an error: "the
document cannot be created..".
I have no problems when editing a Visio document that's already uploaded to
SharePoint.

Does SharePoint 2007 support creating new Visio documents?

Regards,
Morten

It may be related to a client/integration problem.
Does it work from another workstation?
Are you using the expected version of viso (2003/2007)?

Notoriously temperamental from my experience along with other formats
like Project/Powerpoint and will be boil down to a number of things
including browser settings, versions of Visio that have been installed
(2000, 2003, 2007).

First, try using a different types of visio document for example,
template (VST) as your underlying visio content type template instead
of the main VSD format. If this fails clear your cache and temporary
internet files/close restart the browser and try again. Then if this
fails you may need to uninstal/reinstall of the Visio application

I've been using Visio 2003. I've just tried using Visio 2007 and it works.

Thank you for your advice.

Thank you for your trouble shooting advice.
I've just tried using Visio 2007 and it works (normally we use Visio 2003).

Thanks.
