We are running MOSS 2007 and using a publishing portal for a external facing
website. I am using a treeview control bound to the portalsitemap
datasource. Our authors are able to change the navigation items (Site
Actions --> Site Settings --> Modify Navigation). They can add, hide, and
delete items fine; however, the option to open in a new window (checkbox
option under the URL field) when adding a new link does not work. The link
navigates to the specified url fine but does not open in a new window.
After reviewing the rendered page there does not appear to be any script
that would make this work. Just curious if anyone else has encountered this
and if there are any workarounds. I'm on the October Cumulative Update.
Thanks
I have the same issue if I add an external link to the navigation of a SharePoint publishing site and choose open in new window, it's still opening in the SAME window - have you encountered a solution yet.
Thanks a mil!
