When a user creates a file from UNIX to Windows, the file has the correct
permissions for the user, but there is a NULL SID user and the file is not
inheriting the Windows permissions correctly.

How do I fix this?

The inheritance problem has been corrected, but the NULL SID user is still
present. Is that normal?

NULL SID is getting added since a user or group, that the client is
passing on to the server, is not mapped to a Windows account. Are you
using UNM or AD Lookup?

We are using UNM.

In that case, run id command on the client, note the uid and gid that
the account has and ensure they exist in UNM configuration as well.

Run that command on the UNIX side? And I'm looking for the uid and gid of
the user creating the file on the Windows side correct?
