Hi all,

i ve got an working windows 2k3r2 running which is presenting an nfs
share which should be accessable for everyone. and right here my problem
begins.

the server is working completely different if i´m accessing it via
windows or nfs using an linux. I did create an inheritance which is
giving all the needed users full rights on this and on all subfolder.
so, if i am using windows to place files there everything is fitting
like it should. inheritance is working for all newly created folders.

When i access using linux, it is completely different, the folders will
get new access rights, inheritance is not copyed to the new folder.
Every folder will get his own permissioning, which has to be adjusted
manually.

So, the question would be, how i could bring the inheritance to work
also if files or folders are created using linux.

You need ot turn on the KeepInheritance setting if you have Windows
and *nix clients accessing the same folder - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321049
