This comes up every time I run AdAware. I have seen many postings about it here and on AdAware's forums, but have never seen a good explanation of why MRU objects are on their list, and how to tell if a particular MRU object is doing anything.

I would really appreciate hearing some comments about what other folks do when an MRU object is found using AdAware.

Others may contradict me, or have a more technical explanation, but here
goes:

MRU stands for Most Recently Used. It is a list, in Word, for instance,
of the last files that were opened. In Start -> Run, it's the last
commands that you entered.

MRU is considered a privacy threat. Someone could look inside your
system to see what files you have opened or accessed recently.

Sometimes I delete them, sometimes not. New ones will be created as you
use your computer, but as long as you have a good firewall and other
protections, nobody can look inside anyway.
