Are these insructions out of date for Forefront client security?

Hi there.

I spent most of the day friday following this:

are these the proper instructions for installing Forefront?

i notice the version of wsus they have you download isn't current, is the
current version compatable? i noticed that after i spent most of my day
installing following the above instructions then i ran windows update it
completely destroyed all of the work i had just done when it installed the
new version of wsus.

Yes, they are. But the two-server topology is much more common.

WSUS 3.0 SP1 is compatible with 2.0. That means, the installer will simply
upgrade the server but retain your settings. I don't know what you mean with
'it completely destroyed all of the work i had just done'.
