Hi Phil,
As an FYI,
http://connect.microsoft.com/OfficeAccountingBeta
If your not satisfied with your version and its capabilities, test it and
post your bugs/suggestions.
Do believe they work in a business as do all those that post here for help.

Fair enough - but its hard to understand for a "product based business"
template .

1) There is no "Custpmer Purchase Order" field. I ended up using the
"Reference"
field and had to modify templates. They incorporated 'Purchase Order" on
Vendor Side. 99% of my orders are done by Customer PO

2) You cannot generate a detialed list of open orders - only a summary. **
The same laok of feature applies on 'Inventory Side" CANNOT GENERATE A DETAIL
LIST OF ITEMS OUSTANDING BY VENDOR"

3) Back Order Report as mentioned.

The Inventory - "Stock Status by Item" is close to an excellent report - at
least you can filter on "On Hand" add filter for 'On SO's and ON PO's and
you have an excellent report and allow one to add 'Custom Fields" to report

In the same vein - there is also another thread talking about "custom
fileds" in inventory and the lack of being able to use them in reports. I
managed to create a report using the dbo_ItemAccountView table in "Data
Analysis" but want to spend my time ruiing my business not programming. Also
noted that a Custom created filed in inventory used on SO entry screen and
Invoice form does not end up being posted in
"dbo-SalesInvoiceCustomerCreditMemoView in Data Analysis

Looking forward to your response

Hi Phil,
Understand what you mean on time running business.
The list that you mention were filed as bugs/suggestions. Custom fields can
be used in some reports thru modifying them, albeit in a limited fashion as
mentioned in the thread mentioned.
As I suggested you could install the B2TR and post these (as well as anyting
else you find) as feedback. Individually would be best. The TR is good till
June 07. The more duplicated bugs/suggestions, the more they are likely to be
in a future version.
Also, its possible that a Partner will develop something that will be sold
as an add in.
