configurare Windows 7 pentru compatibilitate DOS

Buna ziua

Am achizitionat trei calculatoare preinstalate cu Windows 7. Pe unul din
calculatoare din directorul radacina lipsesc fisierele MSDOS.SYS si IO.SYS,
care au legatura se pare cu compatibilitatea sistemului de operare DOS.
Exista o optiune pentru a reface aceste fisiere fara reinstalare ? Aceste
fisiere sunt necesare ?

De la Windows XP in sus nu se mai folosesc acele fisiere, ele erau folosite
in MS-DOS si Windows 9x - sunt fisiere de sistem si folosite in special pt
boot.

Bineinteles, MS-DOS -mai bine zis command prompt- functioneaza in Windows 7.

Cred ca cel mai bine pentru a rula aplicatii compatibile cu MS-DOS este sa-ti
creezi o masina virtuala pe care sa instalezi sistemul de operare respectiv.
In Windows 7 poti descarca Virtual PC specific de la adresa:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/ sau eu folosesc versiunea

Trebuie sa mai stiti ca o masina virtuala poate fi pusa in LAN si la ea se
pot mapa porturi COM si LPT de pe calculatorul real.
