Hello,

Can you open Publisher 98 files in 2002? Does anything happen to fonts,
formatting, etc....or is it relatively seamless?

Thanks!

Chris, you canopen 98 files in Publisher 2002.

Two things though. One, WordArt formatting is usually messed up. Two, if you
have issues with the WordArt formatting, you can either keep Publisher 98
along size of Publisher 2002, or you can change your WordArt to Picture
Objects so that they carry over properly into Publisher 2002.

In addition to Brian K's reply, it depends on how the printer driver you
were using when you made the Pub98 matches the Pub2002 in-built model.
Pub2002 is printer independent, so you will not have this issue once you
have saved your files in Pub2002. Consequently, if you change printer
drivers or use different printers in Pub2002 you have no issues like you do
in Pub98 with things 'moving'.
