Pub 98 vs Pub 2000/2002

Hi,
We have publisher 98.

Our satellite office has publisher 2000

Is this right?
Pub2000 cannot open publisher 98 files
But if you open a publisher 2000 file, you CAN convert it
to Publisher 98

Is this the same with Publisher 2002?

You should be able to open files from previous versions in
later versions. But 98 will not open 2000.
Later versions can use "save as" and select previous version
format so you can open with P98 but you will lose some
features when you do this.

Hi Aaron,

The following is a break down of the compatitiblity
between the
different versions of Publisher. I have broken down the
list to
show which versions of Publisher are required in order to
open
legacy or newer files. An important note. Pubisher 2002
and newer
went with a new file type. What this means to you is that
there
may be some formatting loss when opening older legacy
files in
the newer versions. Most noticeable is the WordArt
conversions.
There is a registry fix that addresses this issue with
Microsoft
Publisher 2002 SP2:
