Hi Gary,

The client I am working for uses a third party sales force automation tool
and is planning to implement EPM. I am trying to figure out if it would be of
greater benefit to replace the SFA tool with CRM. In their case a sale is a
project. If general customer data can be entered only once into the CRM and
then be retrieved when creating the projectplan that would improve
productivity.

I can imagine that you might actually automate a project spawn from a CRM
system. So the answer is yes. Project, like all MS applications, provides
many avenues of integration and customization.
