Sorry if this appears twice, it's late and I'm having difficulty finding all
the keys...

Perhaps this question has been asked before, but I haven't been able to find
an answer.

I'm printing handouts for a fairly large presentation (about 500 slides),
and I'm using the option to print them 3-up, i.e., 3 slides per page, with
lines for notes on the right. This works fine, however, I've got two
questions, actually 1 question and 1 problem.

The problem is that if I print 3-up, the slide images are quite small. I
don't want to print 2-up, as this will increase the number of pages I have
to print by a third, and I prefer the 3-up format with note lines anyway.
The slides don't actually have to be a whole lot larger, but I could improve
the legibility alot if I could just get them to use more of the available
white space. If I could get the slides images on the handouts to be a
quarter-inch larger on all sides I'd be happy. I've tried every option I can
think of, including changing Page Setup, Scale to Fit Paper, and changing
the Handout Master. The only success I've had is Send to Word - once that's
done I can alter the size of the slides but it has to be done manually for
each one. Can anybody help out on this??

The 'question' is that it seems to me there should exist a capability /
product to allow one to customize the look of the handouts in any way
desired - place the slides wherever you want them to go on the page, etc.
Some sort of changeable 'template' for handout masters or other masters
would be really useful. Does anything like this exist? Has someone done
something like this in VB or otherwise? Or am I just missing some capability
that's already there?

TIA for any help.
