I'd like the option of using images in both landscape and
portrait orientation in the same on-screen presentation.
Anyone know if this is possible?
Thanksr

Tow basic choices:

1. Change your "Page Setup" to 11 x 11
2. Create two presentations and link back and forth between slides (won't be
obvious if done right)

Hi Paul
Can't you just insert the portrait pictures on a plain landscape background?
I've seen this question posted before and don't understand it:
You're screen's not going to change size or shape between portrait and
landscape slides, so however you do this it's going to look the same..?
Or do I not understand?

I struggle with the same question each time I see it posted. I've wondered
if it has something to do with printing, but Paul specifically said for
on-screen presentation. I guess you could always put the monitor/projector
on it's side. <G>

I guess another possibility is that these are dig. camera images and people
are wanting to rotate them in PowerPoint, but I am misinterpreting the
question.

If I insert a drawing on my slide and it is letter size in landscape, I do
not have to do anything. If I try to do the same thing with a drawing that
is letter-sized in portrait layout, I continually have to scale the drawing
down to fit the slide size. I have several drawings that I develop in a
graphics program called Canvas that I save as jpgs and insert into
PowerPoint shows.

What's worse, occasionally I place them as backgrounds of my slides.
Landscape obviously works fine, but portrait drawings are skewed. I put
them on the backgrounds so I can animate flowpaths, etc., using drawing
tools in PowerPoint.

I am assuming this user has the same type of desires. I used to link back
and forth until I figured out to set the page setup to 11 x 11. At least
that way when I insert them as pictures, I don't have to scale them down to
size to show them. Of course, I can't put them as backgrounds on the slides
that way, so....

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
