Subject: Video clips
Certain types of MPEG videos inserted in to my PowerPoint
presentation will play on my laptop screen but will not
play through the projector.  AVI files and some MPEG play
with no problem.  All the videos play on when played on
Windows Media player, just not in PowerPoint.  Any ideas?

Beth,

We get this question quite a lot in this newsgroup (that's not a problem).

Certain Laptops....I wish we had a list, with certain graphics chips have
problems displaying the image on the laptop and on the external port (in
your case the projector)....if you toggle the laptop to display the image on
the external port only....normally something like Key Fn F2 or F3 or F4 or
F5!...then the video clips we be visible. Not a great solution...but it
works.

The other alternative....use a desktop....or try updating your "graphics
card" drivers. If the graphics card drivers option works for you please can
you report back here...so we can help other users.

Cheers
