I have started having problems with Activesync (3.1 and
3.5) when syncing with Outlook 98 (8.5.6204.0).
Calendar and Contacts syncs fine, but I have problems with
Tasks, where I keep getting the error "The following task
cannot be written to Microsoft Outlook due to error
80070057. The item will be skipped."

Anyone any idea whats wrong, and how I can resolve the
conflict.

You can try removing tasks from the sync list and then re-adding them. This
may solve your problem.

Did you try running ScanPST? This should fix the problem. This can occur if
the item can not be read or written to due to corruption.
