Hi i just bought a bluetooth GPS device and i can't seem to pair it with my
pda which is running on windows mobile 5.
Everytime i try to assign a virtual com port to the bluetooth device, it
only shows com port 6 and 7.
As my mapping software will only accept com port 2 and 9, is there any other
way for me to modify the com port settings in WM5?

My axim x51v has a GPS applet which allows me to map one port to another and
to share that port with more than one application. If you don't have this,
get gpsgate from www.franson.com which does a much better job of it anyway.

Which PDA and which program?

If you have an Axim X51, you might want to check a current thread
called "Good PDA with Bluetooth" in this newsgroup.

Hey I've got it fixed.

Finally got thru to my vendor's support line and they instructed me to
download a 'GPS Proxy' program for WM5. Now it works perfectly!

Thanks mate!

Hey, where did you get the "GPS Proxy"
app, if it's OK to tell us?
